CLARINET WEEK!

June 7-11

This engaging and active week-long session will kick your technique into high gear. The mornings will be dedicated to the the foundation of clarinet skill and mastery. Focused workshops in the afternoon will open your eyes to how you can apply all this technical knowledge, on stage and in your musical career.

Eb CLARINET INTENSIVE

June 14-15

Understand fundamental differences in approach between Bb clarinet and Eb clarinet, get warm-ups, method books and insight to choosing reeds and mouthpieces. The session will also focus on Eb clairnet solo works, chamber music, orchestral excerpts as well as repair and maintenance.

 

BASS CLARINET INTENSIVE

June 17-18

Understand fundamental differences between Bb clarinet and bass clarinet, get warm-ups, method books and insight to choosing reeds and mouthpieces. The session will also focus on bass clarinet solo works, chamber music, orchestral excerpts as well as repair and maintenance.

PRACTICE TO PERFORMANCE 

June 21-22

Bridge the practice mind to performance mind by building good practice habits, optimizing learning, creating an arsenal of mental skills, learning to listen critically, and addressing performance stress and anxiety. These sessions will be both practical and reflective, giving you a chance to address the many sides of yourself that you bring to the practice room and stage.

MASTERING AUDITIONS 

June 23-25

Success isn’t merely a matter of being more TALENTED! Sometimes, all it takes is a good plan, good guidance, and a lot of hard work. Ralph Skiano, author of Behind the Screen, and additional guests will lead you through their most helpful practices and mindsets when it comes to audition success.  Day #3 ends with mock auditions.

The Summer Sessions are designed to give you a comprehensive look at the classical music industry and how you will lead a musical life. Bundle the intensives that are interesting to you. There is no minimum or maximum!

Masterclasses will be filled on a first come first served basis, so sign up early if you want a slot! There is no extra fee to perform in masterclass.
